Welcome back to our weekly update that highlights some of the cases appearing on 311 in the North End/Waterfront neighborhoods. All 311 cases are public information and can be found at 311.boston.gov.
Salem Street and Prince Street Crosswalk Needs Repainting
“Please please repaint the cross walks on the corners of Prince and Salem! it is VERY dangerous as cars do not have a stop sign on Salem and blow through that intersection. Need the crosswalks to protect the pedestrians.”

The cases were then closed on June 13th, 2018 with the following message: “Closed with status: Case Noted. Your request for pavement marking replacement has been inspected by the traffic investigator and has been determined that it is in poor condition. A new Service Request has been created 101002504420 and will be added to an active list for re-painting, weather condition pending.”
Needles Found at Basketball Court Near Mirabella Pool
“Two needles in the wall between the stones before the basketball courts.”
The original 311 posts can be found here. These cases were submitted and opened on June 11th, 2018. The cases were then closed on June 12th, 2018 with the following message: “Closed with status: Case Resolved. After a through search of the area I was unable to recover the syringe at this location.”
Homeless and Needles Found Behind 101 Beverly Street
“The alley behind our building has become a hot bed for homeless activity as of late. We’ve called to report drug use and homeless trespassers in the past, and the building management for 98 North Washington to assist with clean up of their property.”
