Healthy Eating Plate —A General Approach to Good Nutrition

Harvard’s Healthy Eating Plate is an easy guide to good nutrition and health.

Foods to Increase:

  • Fill at least half your plate with non-starchy vegetables;
  • Include healthy fats like olive oil, avocado, nuts, and fatty fish;
  • Drink water.

Balance Your Calories:

  • Enjoy food, but eat less;
  • Reduce portion sizes, put less on your plate;
  • Be physically active.

  • Avoid caloric beverages,
  • Limit prepackaged foods, cook more often.
