Dog Obituary: Trot (Trotty) Horn of Boston’s North End

Trot (Trotty) Horn, the English Bulldog of Unity Street died June 24th at the age of 11. He passed naturally in his Mother’s arms and surrounded by the love of his family. Trot was raised in the North End and embodied all that this wonderful neighborhood is. He loved socializing, napping, playing in the Prado, visiting the Fire Station and in his later years riding around in his “Jeep”. Trot had a big personality and smile that was hard to miss or forget, he spent his days spreading love to all that he met. He guarded his family, loved them, nurtured them, made them laugh and showed them nothing but true, unconditional love and companionship. His legacy will live on through his best friend and cousin Quinn – the Boston Terrier of Unity Street. Ever the stoic Bulldog he will be remembered being happy, adoring and strong till the very end. He will be forever loved and never forgotten.

  1. Oh, our condolences, Leslie. I will miss seeing Trot on his leisurely morning walk. He was a great character in our neighborhood scene.

  2. Sorry for your loss.

We will miss seeing Trot around the North End and especially his visits to the Post-
    Gazette on Halloween.
