Fire in Bricco Building at 247 Hanover Street

This morning’s tweets from the Boston Fire Department regarding a fire in the building where Bricco is located at 247 Hanover Street.

1. BostonFire Damage estimate is $300,000.00 Cause is under investigation by BFD Fire Investigation Unit. All out sounded at 7:10 am.
2. BostonFire No injuries reported.
3. BostonFire Building had a restaurant, Bricco, on the first floor and apartments on floors 2-4. Estimate 7 people displaced. They did not need Red Cross.
4. BostonFire Fire knocked down. Second alarm companies making up. Deputy Chief requesting a food and electrical inspector to the scene.
5. BostonFire Two alarm fire at 247 Hanover St. in the North End. Came in at 4:49 am. A 4 story brick building. Fire on the roof.
