Celebrating the Season with the North End Beautification Committee

The North End Beautification Committee celebrated the season by decorating Hanover Street with a Christmas tree and other decorations at the corner of Cross Street. Santa was on hand for the kids and free hot chocolate was provided by Caffe Paradiso. St. John School students held a bake sale while carols were played by local trumpeter Victor Brogna.

The North End Beautification Committee wishes to thank the businesses and residents who provided funds for the tree and plants that created the festive atmosphere. The committee has also installed wreaths with bows on the light poles of many streets in the neighborhood. Members of the NEBC include Patricia Thibotout, Allison Seavey, Sarah Doracaj and Diane Mustone.

While you’re here … we have a favor to ask. Now in our 10th year, we are covering more community issues than ever before. We are thrilled that our readership has continued to grow rapidly. And unlike other news sites, we have decided to keep all our posts free and open to all. But, advertising doesn’t bring in enough to pay for reporting or editorial work. We do it because we believe community news is important – and we think you do too. If everyone who reads this site, who likes it, puts in a bit to pay for it, then our future would be much more secure. We need your support to keep us going.
