Welcome back to our weekly update that highlights some of the cases appearing on 311 in the North End/Waterfront neighborhoods. All 311 cases are public information and can be found at 311.boston.gov.

Litter at 161 Endicott Street

This 311 user says, “This was called over the weekend but nothing was done until trash day. Trash all over the place and still a ton of litter all around. This needs to be swept. Rats are running all over the street and it’s because of problems like this. The owner should should take more responsibility.”

The original 311 post can be found here. The case was submitted and opened on June 25, 2019 and was close nine short minutes later also on June 25, 2018 with the following message: “Closed with status: Case Resolved”.

Tree Pruning on 32 Fleet Street

This 311 user says, “At the rear of the property, there is a large tree in need of pruning. There is a possibility it is on State land and not City land. Could you please have someone check into it and let me know?”

The original 311 post can be found here. The case was submitted and opened on June 20, 2019. The case was then close on June 21, 2018 with the following message: “Closed with status: Case Closed. Case Noted. Please contact the state. There are no trees cared for by the City of Boston at this location.”

Graffiti on North Bennet Place

This 311 user notes, “Recently, I noticed that my building was tagged by graffiti. There are 3 areas of the building that were spray painted. The location is in North Bennet place side of 12 North Bennet Street in the North End.”

The original 311 post can be found here. The case was submitted and opened on June 21, 2019. The case was then closed on June 22, 2019 with the following message: “Closed with status: Case Resolved. Duplicate case on file. We will handle the abatement during our rotation of neighborhoods.”

Cat Walks in Copps Hill Cemetery

This 311 user says, “For the last two weeks a woman has been breaking into copps Hill burial ground. She walks around for a long time with a cat on a leash. Sometimes bringing friends. She is there now. Please stop this.”
