St. Anthony’s Feast. Festivities began Thursday evening with the Feast of Santa Lucia; now the fun continues all weekend with the Feast of Saint Anthony on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, see additional details here.

10:30AM Carolyn Lynch Garden Ribbon-Cutting. The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy cordially invites you to join them to celebrate the dedication and ribbon-cutting of the new Carolyn Lynch Garden on The Greenway. The gathering begins at the northern garden entrance (at the corner of Hanover Street and Surface Road).

1:00PM Friday Films of Robert Mitchum: The Yakuza. Join the North End Branch Library at 25 Parmenter Street for their weekly film series of Robert Mitchum, see additional details here.

6:30PM Sing along with entertainer Mel Stiller in the Rotunda in Quincy Market. Mel has been leading the piano bar at Jacob Wirth restaurant in Boston’s Theatre District every Friday night for the past 29 years. Songbooks will be distributed with lyrics to over 500 oldies, classic rock songs, standards, and show tunes from the 1950s to the 1970s.

‘It’s like Christmas in August;’ 99th Saint Anthony’s Feast kicks off in Boston

Last night marked the 99th year of the kick off of Saint Anthony’s Feast, a cornerstone of Boston’s North End neighborhood. Women of all ages helped lead the procession as members of Saint Lucy Society of Boston, read more on MassLive.

5:00PM St. Anthony’s Feast: Outdoor Celebration of the Eucharist. Outdoor Celebration of the Eucharist – Celebrate a special mass in honor of Saint Anthony, followed by a Blessing with the Relic of Saint Anthony & distribution of Blessed Saint Anthony Bread, see additional details here.

Sunday, August 26

10:30AM Mass celebrated in Italian in honor of Saint Anthony at Saint Leonard of Port Maurice Church, Hanover Street. See the full St. Anthony’s Feast schedule here.

12:00PM Grand Procession of Saint Anthony. Grand Procession of Saint Anthony – Join us for the start of the ten hour grand procession. The statue of Saint Anthony is carried through the streets of the North End accompanied by Italian street bands, award winning drum & bugle corps, school marching bands, sponsor floats, and color guard, see additional details here.

8:00PM Outdoor Movies at Columbus Park. Stop by Christopher Columbus Park for the last free movie of the summer – Apollo 13, see additional details here.
