Not So Flushing City Toilet at Langone Park

This particular City Toilet, at the North End’s Langone Park athletic fields / bocce courts on Commercial Street, has not been operational for over two years. It’s shameful, to say the least, that both this community as well as its many visitors are treated so poorly.

I think a modest community organization effort is in order. There is now a case number which people can reference when they call Boston City Hall at 311 in order to register a concern or complaint. That case number is: 101002185771.

I hope there are many calls and that individuals encourage their family and friends to do so as well. We are more likely to have a positive outcome with such a favorable response.

HOW TO USE 311 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week)

  • CALL – Dial 311 within Boston city limits to be connected with city agents. You can also call 617-635-4500.
  • USE THE APP – Download the app for iOS or Android.
  • TWEET – Tweet a request @BOS311 with  information, location and a photo.
  • USE THE WEBSITE – Available online at

  1. I just called 311 and was told this would be fixed by tomorrow Fri Aug 18, 2017. If someone goes by there and sees that it is not working call 311 and comment and let us know so people can start calling again.

  2. Hi All,

The toilet is now working and will continue to be monitored per the City of Boston Property Management Division.

    Thank you,

  3. Good afternoon-
The toilet at Langone Park belongs to JC Decaux. JCD has a contract with the City of Boston to construct, install and maintain all street furniture city wide. If the toilet has been vandalized in any way or is not functioning, please contact the Mayor’s Hotline 617-635-4500 or the app 311 and JCD will be notified and respond.

  4. These things are an absolute waste of taxpayer money. They should remove this and replace it with low maintenance trees
