On this day in 1826

On April 27, 1826, after years of being a gathering place for Boston’s merchants, Faneuil Hall Market officially opened. The project to extend the market and build formal stalls and stores began in 1824. City of Boston Archives has photos and more on the story.

Aqua Pazza Opens in the North End Next Week

On Thursday, May 4th Aqua Pazza will open at 135 Richmond Street, the former location of Sfizi. Owned by DePasquale Ventures, this new restaurant will feature traditional Italian seafood dishes, continue reading at Eater Boston.

7:00pm Parks and Open Spaces Committee Meeting at Mariner’s House, 11 North Square. All are welcome at NEWRA’s Parks and Open Spaces Committee meeting, which meets on the first Tuesday of the month.

Thursday, May 4

6:00pm NE Public Safety Meeting – Nazzaro Center, 30 N. Bennet Street. These meetings are open to the public and we attended by Boston Police Area A-1.
