Circus Advance Visit to Bring New Paint & Hockey Nets to DeFilippo Playground

In advance of the October 15-19th Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey visit to TD Garden, a few stars from the show are visiting Boston’s North End early to show local students from the Eliot and St. John schools how they work together to ‘build to amaze’ both in and out of the ring.

The event kicks off at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2014 at DeFilippo Playground on Prince Street, otherwise known as the Gassy.

Stars will perform a short demonstration from the show and  bring in a few of their friends from Clown Alley to help give the DeFilippo Playground a refreshed look and some new sporting equipment.

Thanks to a sponsorship from TD Garden’s charitable arm, Garden Neighborhood Charities, the basketball and street hockey courts will get a new coat of paint and brand new street hockey nets will be donated and assembled for the neighborhood children to enjoy. Each student and volunteer will receive one free ticket to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents Built To Amaze at TD Garden.

Psst – The annual elephant lunch on Hanover Street will also be held when the circus arrives later this month.
