The Saint Joseph’s Society held an awards ceremony honoring John “JR” Romano with a Community Service Award. JR was recognized by his many years of dedicated leadership and commitment to the important civic and charitable organizations benefiting the North End. The event was part of Friday night’s opening for the 89th Annual St. Joseph’s Feast on Hanover Street.
JR is the current President of NEAD, North End Against Drugs and serves as the baseball and soccer coordinator for the NEAA, the North End Athletic Association. He is also a past President of NEMPAC, the North End Music and Performing Arts Center and the past Grand Knight of the Ausonia Council Knights of Columbus #1513.
Many attended the awards ceremony to thank John for his service to the community.
