The North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) held a social event recently at Billy Tse’s Restaurant for new and existing members. NEWRA President Jim Salini said,
It is very important that residents of our neighborhood have a direct voice on the issues that arise on a regular basis, which can significantly affect our quality of life. Issues such as trash removal, alcohol licensing, development projects and law enforcement are constantly presenting themselves and begging for input. NEWRA members may vote on these issues and, in doing so, send a message to City Hall about our concerns for maintaining our day-to-day lives here.
