On Fashion: Crush your Wardrobe with Color

colordressFashion is full of colorful creations this spring season with a brilliant rainbow palette of possibilities.  Spring runways showed everything from pastels to bold primary colors in both solid and extreme patterns.  Summer is just around the corner and it’s time to put away your black and grey.  Here in Boston our puritan roots can get the best of our wardrobe.  Our deep dark practical side comes out and we don’t wear nearly enough color.  Bright hues make us happy so why not take a cue from the vibrant trees in flowers in bloom and bring some life to your wardrobe.

Even if you are not a color person there are easy solutions to freshen up your look.  If you just can’t part with your black add a bold statement necklace or a scarf in coral or aqua.  Pair a bright colored top with light jeans for the ultimate summer look or try out a colored jean or pant and pair with a simple white tee and denim jacket.  For summer events always choose a dress with color or better yet a floral pattern!  As I have said before, pick your bold color statement and build your look around it!  There is no need to look like a Punky Brewster, but you also shouldn’t look like Elvira either; it is almost summer after all.
