Since taking office in 2013, Mayor Marino, a daily bike commuter himself, has focused his attention on improving Rome’s transport system by pedestrianizing the most historic archaeological sites in the city. This unprecedented policy has turned Rome into a more bike-friendly place while reducing pollution levels and helping preserve ancient monuments. During his presentation, Marino will share his plan on how to make Rome a more sustainable city and articulate the broader mobility shift that is taking place in car-obsessed Italy, the home to supercar makers like Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini.
