Taste of the North End Awards $20K to Local Non-Profits

TOTNE Photo2013Last week, Taste of the North End donated more than $20,000 to North End Against Drugs, NEMPAC, North End Athletic Association, the Nazzarro Center, Saint John School, Eliot School, ABCD, and Boston Youth Wrestling.

The remainder of the proceeds went to North End Waterfront Health, which sponsors the event along with its founder and president, Donato Frattaroli, and its executive director, Philip Frattaroli. Every penny raised by Taste of the North End is given back to non-profit organizations in the community.

“We are proud to have given out over $20,000 this year to local charities” says Donato Frattaroli, owner of Lucia Ristorante.

“This year we are excited to work with Boston Youth Wrestling to start a wrestling program at the Eliot School,” says Philip Frattaroli, owner of Ducali Pizzeria.

Taste of the North End, a fundraiser featuring more than 30 of the neighborhood’s best restaurants, will be celebrating its 21st year this spring.

  1. North End Against Drugs is extremely grateful to the Taste of the North End and more notably Donato Frattaroli for their donation to our program. NEAD has been a recipient of proceeds from this fabulous event for a very long time. We also thank all the North End restaurants that support the event!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    NEAD President
