Boston poised to ban smoking in city parks
Read about how the Boston City Council wants to ban all smoking in Boston parks, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes and marijuana, and fine those who light up. Ccouncilors approved the ban in a unanimous vote. This ban also applies to other property controlled by the Parks and Recreation Commission, and includes a $250 fine for each violation. Trinity and Aimco break ground on $190M Greenway apartment tower (BBJ slide show)
Read all about the 12-story, 435,000-square-foot building to be built on a 1.5-acre lot near TD Garden, a block from North Station. The building will offer 310 one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury units and 21,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Apartment Investment and Management Co. and Trinity Financial broke ground Thursday on One Canal Street, the $190 million apartment tower to be built on one of the last vacant parcels at the edge of the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway.
