Happy Holidays to the Nazzaro Center from the North End Chamber of Commerce

On November 15th, 2013 NECC board members Toni Gilardi and Lina Buttiri met with Carl Ameno of the Nazzaro Center in order to present him with a check for $500 dollars and 10 gift cards to Stop & Shop from the North End Chamber of Commerce and Century Bank.

Every year the Nazzaro Center puts together a fabulous Christmas party for the children of the North End. It is a fun way to kick start the Christmas holiday; the children get to hang out with friends, eat good food, and the best part – they all get a present at the end. The $500 given on our behalf is going towards the 100 Christmas presents given that day. The gift cards are given to help families that surround us who may be struggling to make ends meet this Thanksgiving with the hopes of offering assistance.

“It was our pleasure as representatives of the North End Chamber of Commercial to assist Families and Children this holiday season,” says NECC’s VP Toni Gilardi. “We have been working diligently to insure a unified and healthy neighborhood for all to enjoy!”

The Christmas party is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, December 18th at the Nazzaro Center in the North End. Carl Ameno is in charge of putting this together. Carl has dedicated the majority of his life running youth programs in the North End and to putting together events like this for the children and being a huge asset to the North End community.
