The rental houseboat rage continues at Lewis Wharf. Although the winter variety gave way to mostly regular summer boats, there remains a houseboat rental program at some slips on the marina. Neighbor Robert Forant shares his titled photo, saying:
Shame, Shame, Shame: What can be said for this landlords lack of class and taste. The problem with the White Trash Trailer Park is of course the white trash that it attracts. People from the community that own boats here care for the neighborhood and act accordingly. The folks renting these trashy houseboats are indeed the Trash of the Universe. See how many time the police were called to this location for the slimeballs getting out of control. Check with the neighbors of Lewis Wharf to appreciate the drunken creatures crawling around the property with beers in their hands. All this so the landlord can rent this trash at Boston Hotel rates. Anyone that picks this trash over a hotel room on the waterfront is indeed brain damaged.

Did Thurston Howell III write that?
You’re obviously just envious of the lifestyle. You’re secretly sick of Krug and foie gras, and are dying to join your new neighbors for Slim Jims and canned Bud Lite. Alas, you recognize that a gulf of privilege and self-entitlement separates you from your object of longing. You will never partake of their plebeian joys, and so you seethe, hating their carefree, budget-priced bliss. “Trash”’ you mutter, “Trash!”, as a silent tear slides down your cheek. Alas!
Mr. Forant clearly has no idea what it is like to live in a trailer park. Here’s a tip: people there may be poor, but they don’t generally act like this either.
Please stop sliming trailer dwellers as trash, when you don’t have even the slightest clue (watching reruns of Dukes of Hazzard does not qualify here).
@ $300/night I find it hard to believe “white trailer trash” (as Mr Forant calls people renting these houseboats) could afford the luxury. And not once have I seen a report in the published police blotter about problems at the Lewis Wharf Marina so I would like to know the basis of his claim “See how many time the police were called to this location for the slimeballs getting out of control.”. What an ignorant jerk!
