City Council Hearing on Home Rule Petition to Change Alcohol License Process
8:00 PM – 8:20 PM
Discussion of the recent City Council hearing and North End resident testimony on a proposed Home Rule Petition for state legislation that would allow the Licensing Board for the City of Boston to set the total number of alcohol licenses in the city (instead of the Legislature, which currently sets the total number), effectively allowing the number of alcohol licenses in the city to increase. The Home Rule Petition also proposes other changes to the alcohol licensing process. Our next steps for providing NEWRA input will be formulated.
All NEWRA meetings are open, and North End/Waterfront residents are encouraged to attend.
