A child was rescued from Boston Harbor at Christopher Columbus Park on Saturday night around 8 pm from a possible fall around low tide. Catherine captures this photo of the police boat rescue and heard the child crying (good sign).

My comments don’t speak to this particular incident; I don’t know the details.
People are so dumb. Every time I go through the park, I see parents taking pics of their toddlers swinging on the chains. I see grandmothers balancing infants on the ballasts for pics by the mothers.
Do they really need to be told that they are on the edge of an *ocean*? Is this Darwinism at play?
Imagine years ago when my kids were growing up-no link fence at all! it was almost wide open. I am still cautious now with my grandkids. I, too, see many small children dangling over the side! Keep the kids safe, I say!
I totally agree where are the parents that was my first thought when I read about this incident
How long before someone proposes a 4 ft. high chain link fence? Think of the children!
