Due to roadway conditions — posted street sweeping for the South End, North End and Beacon Hill is cancelled for the entire week of March 4, 2013. The Public Works Department will reevaluate conditions to begin posted sweeping and enforcement for the week of March 11, 2013.
Residents do not have to move their cars until the street sweeping program resumes.
Expanded Winter Street Sweeping Program
Sweeping in the North End, Beacon Hill and South End neighborhoods has been expanded to include the months of December and March in addition to the regular program April through November. From March 1 – December 31, existing posted schedules, parking restrictions, and enforcement procedures will remain in place including ticketing and towing of illegally parked vehicles.
Adverse winter weather may impact the expanded program during the months of December and March. In the event that Public Works decides to cancel street sweeping and parking enforcement for weather related reasons, notifications will be sent out by e-mail to NO-TOW subscribers (see below) or you may contact the Mayor’s 24 Hour Hotline for updated information at 617-635-4500.
