Before we get to today’s “Neighborhood View,” we received the following old photo request:
My great grandfather had a store at 199 Hanover St. and 91 Cross St. in 1907. It was called Piscopo and Rebello. I would like to find a picture for my mother, Diane Piscopo. I am also looking for some history on when it opened and closed. My mother always said this was the first Italian market in an Irish neighborhood. Think there is any truth to that? –Jim DiMento

Neighborhood View of the Day:
“If you look into the edge of the glass at the Holocaust Memorial, the etched numbers give a cool hologram effect,” describes Nate Swain who shared today’s photo.
