Neighbors Come Out to Support the Friends of the North End Branch Library [Photos]

The Friends of the North End Branch Library received an enthusiastic response to their first membership social, held on Thursday night at Billy Tse Restaurant on Commercial Street. President Robin Ardito said, “We’ve come a long way and now we need some more people power to help with our projects.” If you have a green thumb for the garden, can help organize books or are adept at marketing and communications, the Friends are looking for you! They usually meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 6:30 pm, near the diorama in the back of the library. Email them at info@friendsnelibrary.org.

The Friends mission is to create public support for expanding the programs at the Parmenter Street library and to intensify community awareness. The group also raises funds for equipment and furniture. Working with the librarian, the Friends group acts as a liaison between the community and staff to preserve the continuity of the Boston Public Library system.

Sign-up or renew your membership here. Visit the library at 25 Parmenter Street.
