Coming off the well-received expansion news for their school, parents and friends of the John Eliot K-8 School celebrated at a fundraiser on Friday to benefit the North End neighborhood school. Supporters perused an extensive silent auction before enjoying a full-course dinner followed by dancing to a DJ at the Fairmont Battery Wharf Hotel.

Neighborhood residents and this blog have been rightfully critical of many of the Fairmont Battery Wharf’s recent applications for late night alcohol service at over 160 outdoor patio seats and a valet license on Commercial Street. Saint John School graduates, parents and friends joined to honor Sr. Eileen Harvey, longtime Principal who has served for 28 years at the parochial school in Boston’s North End.
