The Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services is asking residents and business owners to sign-up in advance so they can bring enough brooms, tools and bags for everyone to use. Call Nicole Leo at 617-635-3485 or sign-up online. Be sure to select the North End when you sign-up online. Meet on the Prado at 9:00 a.m.

Boston Shines: Cleaning Public Alley 101

Neighbors around Public Alley 101 missed the big group photo on the Prado for Boston Shines, but are just as deserving of credit for cleaning up their neck of the neighborhood. One of the classic (and cleanest) North End alleys, Public Alley 101 traverses Richmond Street to Cross Street, parallel to old Commercial Street.

Boston Shines, the City’s annual community cleanup, will have its North End/Waterfront event on Saturday, April 24th. All residents and merchants are welcome to participate.
