We are fortunate in the North End / Waterfront to have two model “Friends” groups helping out our neighborhood jewels, the Friends of the North End Branch Library and the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park. These all-volunteer groups can only thrive with the support of neighbors, both in time and money. Why not become a “Friend” today?
The Friends of the North End Branch Library are running their annual membership drive and have recently launched a new website at www.friendsnelibrary.org. New and renewing members can send in their annual dues through the website through October 1st. Members also receive a free monthly newsletter.
The Friends of Christopher Columbus Park have a busy Fall season planned. The now famous annual Columbus Day event will coordinate with the North End parade this year on Sunday, October 9th. Save the date for the annual Fundraising Gala on November 18th and come out for a fun night in the park at the Trellis Lighting on November 21st.
