What’s The 311? Overflowing Trash Can, Crosswalks Needed on Richmond Street, Alleged Medical Trash Found, and Broken Bricks

Welcome back to our weekly update that highlights some of the cases appearing on 311 in the North End/Waterfront neighborhoods. All 311 cases are public information and can be found at 311.boston.gov.

No Crosswalks on North and Richmond Street After Repaving

“It’s been over a month since these streets were repaved, yet still no crosswalks. Cars frequently run the stop signs at this intersection, making for an extremely dangerous pedestrian crossing. Please paint some lines soon 02113.”

“Trash from the nursing home on Fulton Street. Their garbage truck came this morning and lots of gloves and other medical-type litter was left on the street. This is a public health hazard. The nursing home should at least send someone out to clean it up!”

  1. Until the City really crackdowns on these Trash Violators this will always be a constant
    problem. Start fines off at $100. & increase those fines for constant violators.
    The Landlord should have the right to impose these fines on their tenants if they are
    constantly in Violation.

  2. This location is at the crossroads of Salem and Prince. You have Dino’s restaurant; Bova’s Bakery; Monica’s Trattoria; and Monica’s Restaurant…..they occupy each corner and it is a tourist hot spot. Where else can people throw their trash when they munch ? It is not a question of landlords….rather, a question of the city placing more trash receptacles in that tight-knit, heavily traveled, four-cornered area.

    1. Common sense response to a simple solution.We do not need a genius in City Hall to figure this one out.
