Passacantilli Kicks Off City Council Campaign; Receives Endorsement of Rep. Michlewitz

“Coming together” was the theme at the official North End campaign kickoff for Stephen Passacantilli, candidate for Boston City Council District 1. Supporters filled the Filippo’s function hall on Thursday night in Boston’s North End for the home grown candidate.

Introduced and officially endorsed by State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz, Passacantilli spoke about his strong family commitment to the neighborhood and campaign priorities including “access to great schools close to home, safe streets, clean and accessible parks, effective transportation, and top-notch services for our seniors.”

The race to fill Sal LaMattina’s District 1 seat is between two East Bostoners, Lydia Edwards and Margaret Farmer, and one North Ender, Stephen Passacantilli. The primary election between the three candidates will take place on September 26th, and the general election will be on November 7th between the two remaining candidates.
