Ferris Bishara Maloof, 86, of Boston’s North End passed away peacefully at home on June 9th surrounded by family & friends. Loving companion of Maryann Deveau, adoring father of Ferris Barry Maloof & his wife Gail of Indiana, Bernard Brud Maloof & his wife Vickie of Houson ,Tx, and Brenda G. Maloof Anderson & her husband Gary of Masterton, New Zealand, he leaves their mother Georgette Burpee Maloof of Boston, as well as several cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Francaise Millay of Florida, Evelyn Dove & her husband George of Milton, MA, and Jeanette Richardson of Taunton, MA. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Abboud.
Ferris was born in West Roxbury to Naseeb & Lillian (Younis) Maloof and graduated from English High School. He served in the US Army during WWII and saw action in France. Returning to Boston, he worked for the NY & NH Railroad as a fireman until 1967 when he moved to El Paso, TX where he went into business with relatives. His love of the railroad brought him to the Santa Fe/South Pacific as a brakeman. He was also Treasurer and National Delegate for the United Trans. Union and a life member of VFW Post 144. Upon his retirement Ferris returned to Boston where he was a long time resident of Lincoln Wharf.
