The City of Boston’s Christmas Trolley Tour and Tree Lighting attracted dozens of neighborhood children to meet Santa and enjoy the festivities. The event was held on the Paul Revere Mall, also known as the Prado along Hanover Street. Mayor Menino is still in the hospital, so District 1 City Councilor Sal LaMattina introduced Santa and led the countdown for the lighting of the tree. The trolley tour also had a host of singers and treats with guns of confetti. St. John School’s children’s choir also entertained the crowd while attendees munched on food courtesy of Mike’s Pastry. The Prado was also the site of NEMPAC’s craft market that ran through the afternoon. See the photo gallery.
