The next MHP Advisory Committee Meeting will update on the planning initiative and present materials from prior meetings, as well as copies of regulations specific to Municipal Harbor Plans and Chapter 91.

6:00pm ‘Thin Ice’ Film at North End Library [25 Parmenter St, Boston]
(2011) Mickey Prohaska is a small-time insurance agent looking for one big score to get him out of frigid Wisconsin. But Mickey’s clever con spirals out of control when an unstable locksmith turns the tables and raises the stakes higher than Mickey ever imagined. Runtime: 93 minutes.

Located at 25 Parmenter Street, this ground works to create public support for expanding programs; to intensify community awareness and use of the library.

6:30pm Parcel 9 (Haymarket Hotel) IAG Meeting at Nazzaro Center [30 N. Bennet Street]
In October of 2014, this proposal went through the process for its BRA Article 80 Large Project approval. In the time that has passed since last October, the proponent has sought their needed approvals from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. They are now set to come back to the BRA for their PDA (Planned Development Area) approval. The proponent hopes to bring the IAG up to speed on what has happened since the last meeting.

1919 Great Molasses Flood Disaster Anniversary
The Boston Molasses Disaster, also known as the Great Molasses Flood and the Great Boston Molasses Tragedy, occurred on January 15, 1919, in the North End neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts in the United States. A large molasses storage tank burst, and a wave of molasses rushed through the streets, killing 21 and injuring 150. View collection of photos.

Anniversary of Brinks Garage Robbery
Marking the 66th Anniversary of the Brinks Garage, which was robbed on January 17, 1950 by a gang that stole $2.78 million from the facility at 155 Prince Street. The location is now a parking garage with the address of 600 Commercial Street.
