Hosted by The Trustees Boston Waterfront Initiative, this virtual panel discussion will feature stories and examples of innovative green solutions being used to protect waterfront cities and communities from the effects of climate change, including rising sea levels. The discussion will be moderated by Gretchen Rabinkin, Executive Director, Boston Society of Landscape Architects, and will welcome renowned practitioners:

  • Michael Grove, Principal and Chair of Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Ecology, Sasaki

  • Kotchakorn Voraakhom, International ASLA, CEO and Founder of Landprocess and the Porous City Network

  • Dr. Indrani Ghosh, Resiliency Technical Leader, Weston & Sampson

Monday’s high tide brought flooding to the North End’s Lewis Wharf. A “wicked high tide” is expected to bring more coastal flooding on Tuesday, when there will be a 12-foot high tide at 12:35 p.m. Similar conditions are predicted for Wednesday afternoon, when rainwater will add to the high tides.
