Remembering Jason Menard and Thanking our Firefighters

To all the Menard families,

We extend our sympathy and send our deepest regrets on the death
of the Worchester hero fireman, Lt. Jason Menard.  He surely acted in the most exemplary
manner.  Being a fireman means being constantly on the line and the fire
alarm you hear could be the last.  We are sure that Jason is comfortably
at peace with God.  Please accept our sincere condolences.

We also take this opportunity to thank all our local firefighters, including Ladder 1 / Engine 8 in Boston’s North End.

Fire Returns to Hanover Street Building at Il Panino Trattoria

Just over a year after a tragic fire at the same building of 280-282 Hanover St., a fire broke out in the kitchen ceiling of Il Panino Trattoria around 6pm on Saturday night. Boston Fire Responds to North Street

Intense smoke was spotted on the roof of a North Street building, near the corner of Clark Street. Boston Fire was on the scene and the situation appeared to improve quickly according to witnesses from nearby buildings. Photos by Frankie Boyer, Meghan Denenberg, and Dr. Joseph Mendola.
