Monday’s Brief: Must-See Downtown Sites, Zumba in the Park, Sacco & Vanzetti Trial Presentation, Chance of Festa Snow

Here’s what you need to know for the week ahead…

6:00PM Summer Fitness Series: Zumba. Stop by Christopher Columbus Park for the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and Boston Public Health Commissions summer fitness series. Today’s class will be Zumba in the Park, see additional details here.

7:00PM Presentation to Remember the Sacco & Vanzetti Trial at 565 Boylston Street. The Sacco Vanzetti Commemoration Society presents a look at the 1920-1927 case of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti. These two Italian immigrants were found guilty of robbery and murder and executed in 1927. Fifty years later, it was declared they received an unjust trial, see additional details here.

Wednesday, August 28

3:30PM LEGO Club. Stop by the North End Library and work ogether or independently to build whatever you can imagine using the library’s LEGO collection. For kids ages 6-12.

5:15PM Eastie by Sea. Join Friends of the Boston Harborwalk aboard the Patrick T. Kennedy at 10 New Street for a tour of East Boston’s waterfront. Space is limited, see additional information here.

6:30PM Friends of Cutillo Park Meeting. The Friends of Cutillo Park hold their monthly meeting on the last Wednesday of the month at the Nazzaro Center, see additional information here.

7:00PM North End Movie Nights: The Princess Bride. Movies will be shown on Wednesdays in July and August at The Gassy / DeFilippo Playground on Prince Street. Pizza will be served at 7 p.m. and movies begin at dark, see additional information here.
