Walking through the expansive and somewhat barren City Hall Plaza, it is difficult to imagine the space as it was from its pre-Colonial days, through the notorious years as a seedy but vibrant entertainment destination, into the 1960s as all traces of the once lively neighborhood were demolished to become Government Center. Author David Kruh will take us on a walk back through time as he discusses his book, Always Something Doing: Boston’s Infamous Scollay Square. Don’t miss this revealing presentation on Wednesday, April 24 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the North End Branch of the Boston Public Library.
