What’s The 311? Construction Parking Extended on Lewis Street; Overflowing Dog Park Trash

Welcome back to our weekly update that highlights some of the cases appearing on 311 in the North End/Waterfront neighborhoods. All 311 cases are public information and can be found at 311.boston.gov.

Equipment Malfunctions Extend Construction Parking Permits on Lewis Street

A construction sign on Lewis Street claims work will take place between February 15 through the 22. A 311 user claims no work has taken place as of the day the permit expired.

“These signs have been up for excavating from 2/15 to 2/22 which is today and no work has been done. They are taking up all these parking spaces. Please have someone check into this is on Lewis Street, thank you.”

The case was submitted and opened on February 22, 2019. The case was then closed on the same day on February 22, 2019 with the following message: “Closed with status: Case Resolved. The Contractor previously working on Moon, Lewis and North street unexpectedly had equipment malfunctions. They will be out tomorrow to amend the current postings so that they reflect accurate dates of construction.”
