Boston Harbor Tour to Highlight Waterfront History & Changes

A two-hour ferry tour of the Boston Harbor will offer panoramic city views with insightful discussions of the harbor’s history and the many changes impacting its future.

The public tour on Saturday, February 16, 2019 is sponsored by Friends of the Boston Harborwalk (FBHW) and Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands.

The tour will depart from and return to Long Wharf on Boston Harbor Cruises’ luxury ferry, the Regency. Boarding will begin at 9:30 a.m. and depart at 10 a.m., returning no later than 12:15 p.m. The heated ferry will travel around the Inner Harbor including along East Boston and out past the Boston Harbor Islands.   Representatives of both sponsoring organizations will narrate the tour.

The vessel will depart from Long Wharf North, near the Marriott Long Wharf Hotel on the Christopher Columbus Park side.

It has bathrooms and heated below decks with snacks available. Participants wishing to enjoy the expansive views from the outside deck are encouraged to dress warmly.

The nearest T station is the Blue Line Aquarium station.

Tickets, at $18 per person, can be purchased on EventBrite via this link: www.eventbrite.com/e/winter-harbor-cruise-and-guided-history-tour-tickets-54577852827
