Update on Cutillo Park

Friends of Cutillo Park is preparing for its first official meeting on Wednesday, January 30th, 6:30pm at the Nazzaro Center. Kirstin Hoffman gave an update on related activities and some history on the park (once a hockey rink).

The group is working on year-round activities to activate the park. A cleanup was held last November and wreathes were put up for the holidays.

In February, an indoor gathering will be scheduled relating to stories and memories from past times in the park.

Ongoing issues relate to trash and cleanliness in the park and on Morton Street that the group intends to tackle over the coming year. The Friends have sent a letter to City Hall and are engaging Councilor Edwards and the Mayor’s Office.
