The Massachusetts State Election will take place on Tuesday, November 6 with polls open 7am-8pm. In a new effort by State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz to encourage voter participation, several local businesses are offering 15% off purchases when you present your ‘I Voted’ sticker on Election Day! You can also enter a raffle to win Celtics tickets on Christmas! See more details below.
A reminder that you can also participate in early voting, happening now through November 2. See our early voting post for more information.

Great idea Aaron you get everyone involved. The businesses participate and the voters VOTE. Your the best.
Seems a bit cheesy to offer a gimmick to get people to vote.
Smart move Aaron. People across the US are going all out to get the public to VOTE.
Not a cheesy gimmick at all. This is a pretty important election !
If it or was such a pretty important election you should not need a gimmick
to vote. As for crowded Polling places vote early instead of waiting.
Not at all cheesy! polling places were crowded and a lot of people I spoke with had no idea about this offer until I mentioned it. Nice incentive and nice boost for the local businesses. I had the pleasure of being the first to take advantage of the discount at Polcari’s. Instead of just buying the pound of coffee that I needed I picked up some nuts and dried fruit I will need for the holidays. Plus I got my entry for the Celtics tickets ! Thanks Aaron and the local businesses who participated.
