Friends of the North End Wrap Up Fall Bocce Season

The Friends Of The North End (F0NE) ended their annual Fall Bocce season on Sunday, November 4, 2018.

The championship team for the Fall 2018 season was made up of Angelo DiGirolamo, Anthony Gaeta, Richie Delliago and Gaspar Ostuni. Awards were presented to the winning team at a banquet held on Tuesday, November 6th at the Flaming Grill Restaurant in Revere.

The Friends are carrying on a long time tradition of playing bocce at the North End Park, the same location where some of their grandfathers and fathers played in the past.

Friends Of The North End was established in 1972 by a few boyhood friends who grew up together in the North End. Today there are 78 members in the organization who meet at least once a month for dinner at the Sons of Italy in Winchester, MA.

Bocce will continue every Sunday morning during the winter months at the indoor courts in the Steriti Skating Rink on Commercial Street. Anyone is invited to play with the members of FONE, interested parties may contact Sam Viscione at 781-835-8122 for details.
