The 16 Moon Street development received a new decoration last Friday – a three-sided, Roman numeral clock displayed above the first row of windows.
It’s yet to be seen what the neighborhood’s opinion will be of the clock. Photo submitter David Arnold describes the clock as the frosting that adds to the factory-style architecture of the building, reminding him of something from a Dickens’ period, or perhaps Willy Wonka.

Looks period. Adds to the character of the street.
The clock is a welcome addition .
I love it!
I like looking up Fleet Street and seeing the clock. I would like to learn why they placed a clock there. Nice touch.
Anyone know how many units in that space? I had heard it was a single family.

Looks great – I heard it can also play music etc during holidays.
The developer & owner have done an incredible job on this property.
I think it’s great~~~~miss the clock that was on Hanover Street attached to The European Restaurant !! Also the one at the Industrial School !!
I must say that when that project started I was predisposed to hate it (still think the bricks should be redder to better match neighbors) but it has really turned out to be wonderful! Love the brick work on the lower sills, creating the vertical line. Love the windows. And now love the clock! Compliments to the architect!
the clock is fine, but there are questions to ask: 1) Does its design have a historic connection? 2) The clock’s face shows the date 1788 – Why? 3) Is there a connection to Moon Street’s storied history?
