Halloween Happenings: Your Guide to a Spook-tacular Time!

Looking to get in on all the Halloween fun this year? The North End / Waterfront has tons of events lined up for you and the whole family (your pets too!) Plan your costume carefully and read on below for your ultimate guide to Halloweekend 2018.

Friday, October 26

12:30PM: ABCD North End / West End Neighborhood Service Center Halloween party. This annual party will take place at 1 Michelangelo Street in the North End. There will be lunch and a treat or two..but no tricks! Be there if you dare!

Saturday, October 27

12:00PM: Faneuil Hall’s Halloween Pet Parade and Costume Contest. Dress your pet in their cutest, most creative Halloween costume and head over to Faneuil Hall for a parade followed by prizes and activities! Learn more here.

Sunday, October 28

1:00PM: North End Halloween Parade & Party. The 67th annual outdoor Halloween party and parade will begin at Hanover and Battery Streets. The highlight is the parade through the streets in costume! [Note: The parade was changed to Sunday, 10/28.] Read more here.

3:30PM: The West End Community Center’s annual Halloween event! Bring your children in their costumes for light refreshments and a treat for the kids. Eric Benton Magic will start at 3:30pm. This is a free event and all are welcome! Located at 1 Congress Street.

Tuesday, October 30

4:00PM: Edible Haunted Houses: Teen Edition at the North End Library. Students in grades eight and up are invited to get in the Halloween spirit and join the Friends of the North End Library in making delicious Haunted Houses to take home!

Wednesday, October 31

9:00AM: North End Waterfront Mothers’ /Fathers’ Association (NEWMA) Halloween Party. Come one come all for a Halloween Party. Wear your orange and black and come party before trick or treating! This will take place at the Nazzaro Center during open gym (9 a.m. – 12 p.m, activities will start around 10ish). Kids can decorate a Halloween sugar cookie, make a craft and play some games.

3:00PM: North End Neighborhood Halloween Party. Games and activities will take place at the Nazzaro Center from 3pm – 7pm; pizza and cider will be served 4pm – 6pm! Families and children of all ages can enjoy games, bouncy houses, haunted house, arts & crafts, and face-painting.

3:30PM: Neighborhood Trick-or-Treating. NEWMA is again sponsoring neighborhood Trick-or-Treating for children. Participating businesses will display a Teal Pumpkin flyer in their window. The Teal Pumpkin Project is a nationwide movement to offer inclusive alternative treats including small toys and candy safe for children with dietary restrictions. Read more here.

7:00PM: Post Trick-or-Treat Dance Party. Hosted by Boston Community Collaborative, this post trick-or-treat party for children ages 8 and older along with their families will be held at Filippo’s from 7 p.m. to about 9 or 10 p.m.

10PM: Trattoria il Panino’s third annual Halloween party! The top three best costumes will receive prizes. Proceeds to benefit allergy awareness.
