North End Resident Saves Toddler’s Life with Bone Marrow Donation
North End Resident Laura Pacheco, a former Gift of Life bone marrow donor, is helping to raise awareness of the upcoming April 29th Gift of Life Steps for Life 5k Run & Walk. Laura was paired with 3-year-old Mario Lopez who was suffering from a blood disorder and in need of a marrow transplant when she was able to make her donation and save his life, see additional details about the upcoming 5K here.
