Things to know for Tuesday

It’s Tuesday, February 27 and if you thought it was all of the regular commuters making you late for work this morning while you’re stuck sitting in traffic, maybe you should consider ditching the Lyft or Uber in favor for a less congested route.

12:30PM Gentle Yoga for Adults. Join the North End Library at 25 Parmenter Street as certified yoga instructor Maura Almy leads the weekly yoga class for all levels, see additional details here.

5:00PM Wharf District Council Meeting. There will be a Wharf District Council Meeting in the Wharf Room at Boston Harbor Hotel at 70 Rowes Wharf. The proposed agenda includes updates from the Boston police, Boston Planning & Development Agency, supplemental information from BPDA, Mass Coastal Zone Management, the Greenway Conservancy and more.

7:00PM CANCELLED – ZLC Meeting. The zoning, licensing and construction meeting has been cancelled for this month as no new items have appeared for review. Please reach out to Victor Brogna at vbrogna@gmail.com with any questions.

You can learn to curl with these Massachusetts curling clubs

Just because the Olympics are now over doesn’t mean you have to give up watching or participating in your favorite sport, curling that is. Massachusetts residents are eager to learn and Boston.com has complied a list of all the clubs where you can do just that including the North End’s own club at Steriti Memorial Rink!

Thursday, March 1

1:00PM City Council Short-Term Rentals Working Session. The City Council Committee will hold a working session on short-term residential rentals at 1 City Hall Square on the fifth floor. Learn more about recommendations made by Downtown Civic Groups here.

3:45PM Fiber Arts at the North End Library. Children ages 7 to 10 are invited to participate in a 7-week Fiber Arts class where students will participate in a variety of techniques to create projects while learning about the cultures and artists who use these methods, register in advance by calling 617-227-8135.

6:00PM NE Public Safety Meeting. North End / Waterfront residents are welcome to attend the North End public safety meeting at the Nazzaro Center at 30 N Bennet Street.
