The Thanksgiving holiday classic, “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” will be shown outdoors on the Saturday before Thanksgiving to get everyone in the holiday mood. It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without a screening of this film favorite. This iconic movie follows a businessman (Steve Martin) who is struggling to get home for Thanksgiving, but burdened by one travel mishap after another, as well as the company of an annoying traveling salesman (John Candy).

Mayor’s North End Coffee Hour Set for June 22, 2012 at the Gassy, DeFilippo Playground
Mayor Menino will hold his annual neighborhood coffee hour in the North End on June 22, 2012 at 9:30 am. The event will be in conjunction with the opening of the newly renovated play area at “The Gassy” formally known as DeFilippo Playground at 135 Prince Street.
Patriots Fans Fight on Salem Street
A fight broke out on Salem Street near Noyes Place Tuesday afternoon following the Patriots victory parade. You may recognize the background as the Chrysanthemum building.
