Last weekend, Historic Boston Inc. worked with artists and a tech team to create an Augmented Reality (A.R.) vision of the Old Corner Bookstore at Downtown Crossing. Smartphone users could download the Look Again App and then hold up their device to the building to look back at this corner over the years. The Boston Globe has more on how this project came to be.
The North End / Waterfront neighborhood has been through many changes since it was first settled in the 1630s. What are some of the places you think would be best for a North End A.R. trip back in time? Vote in our poll and add your comments in the section below.
Note: There’s no evidence that Historic Boston Inc. is looking to expand this “Look Again” A.R. experience to other buildings. This poll is purely for fun, but hey you never know what could come of it! Also remember, web polls are not scientific, representing only those readers who choose to vote.
311 is still a joke!!!
It’s a great question. I think the molassus factory leads the vote because no one now can form a visual image of what it once was and where it sat so many years ago.
