North End Christmas Fund needs your help!
For more than 40 years, the North End Christmas Fund Committee has provided for North End families, seniors and individuals who need assistance during the Christmas Season and throughout the year. We provide some much-needed help to those who may be having a tough year financially, health-wise, lost a loved one or maybe just need a little holiday cheer provided to a lonely senior.
Last year the Christmas Fund committee sent out over 300 checks totaling just over $13,000. We need your help to raise that money this year so that we can keep this tradition alive that was started by Uncle Fred Carangelo. The committee is made up of several social service type agencies in the North End like the Nazzaro Center, North End Waterfront Health, ABCD, North End Against Drugs and the North End Athletic Association.
Each year we hold a luncheon to help raise some of this money. This years’ event is on December 7th at Fillipo’s Restaurant. See the attached flyer for details.
There are several ways you can help out:
- Make a cash donation of any amount.
2) Be a Luncheon Sponsor – $500 or more contribution to help cover the cost of the luncheon which is $3,600.
3) Donate a raffle item for our raffle at the luncheon.
4) Buy a ticket to the luncheon – there is limited space available
