Emilio “Emil” Bevilacqua Square was dedicated this week at the corner of Salem & Tileston Streets in honor of the late North End resident. Emil was a staple on that corner with his dog Sonny and throughout the neighborhood before his passing last year. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh spoke at the ceremony which was attended by dozens of family and friends. Helping “save the day” after an unveiling malfunction was pole climber and District 1 City Council candidate, Stephen Passacantilli.

Corner or Salem St. and Thatcher Street? Thatcher runs from N. Washington and Prince and is parallel to Salem St. Did they make Prince in front of Paziale’ds Bakery part of Salem. That would put Bova’s at the corner or Salem and Salem.
Just asking!
