The following information was submitted by Kay Barned-Smith, CCM, AIA, Public Works Construction Management and Connect Historic Boston Project Manager regarding upcoming milling and paving as part of the cycle track project.
From August 26 through August 30, major roadway construction will take place near North Station and along Commercial Street in the North End / Waterfront neighborhood. August 26-27 will see milling of Causeway Street from Portland Street to North Washington Street.
August 28-30 will see milling on Commercial Street from Battery Street up to where Atlantic Ave meets Commercial Wharf.
During this time there will be traffic delays and parking restrictions. For more details, see the complete construction notice below.
Cycle track and roadway paving of Commercial Street, Causeway Street and Atlantic Avenue will take place in mid-September once the utility infrastructure is raised.
