Video: Cheering on the “Italian Stallions” in Boston’s North End during the live viewing of “The F-Word” cooking show on July 12, 2017. Video by Pascal Gangi and Matt Conti.
The Boston “Italian Stallions” family team took the win on Wednesday night’s “The F-Word” cooking variety show starring celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay. A large group of North End supporters cheered on the crew during the live broadcast on Fox TV.
The “Italian Stallions” family team include captain Kenny Palazzollo, brothers Louis and Dom Strazzullo, and cousin Matt Cronin. You may recognize the North End crew from around the neighborhood as they are actively involved in the Fisherman’s Club and the annual Fisherman’s Feast. Members from the North End Marching Band were also on hand for the celebration for iconic “ba-da-da-da” singing.
The dish of the night was Fish ‘n Chips. Given their ancestry from the Fisherman’s Club in Boston’s North End, the Italian Stallions easily beat the Korean “Seoul Food” team.
The F Word brings together foodie families along with cooking passion and humor in a live television show. In addition to impressing Ramsay, each team must win over the hearts and taste buds of the diners, celebrities and VIP guests whom they’re serving.
Having won their initial round, the Italian Stallions are hoping to make the final round that will air live on Fox television in August 2017.
